View at hotel was amazing, breakfast was decent and staff were friendly and lovely. Only thing is the room is not big although it’s advertised as 33sq metre - somehow feels smaller than that. Bathroom design is not well thought through as the shower area is not separated and makes the floor really slippery once someone has a shower. The electrical outlets were really close to the sink too and doesn’t feel like it’s safe to be that close. Beds were good and probably could do to provide more drinking water and cups for brushing teeth. Location wise - it’s a steep climb up but it’s really close to town. Only thing is bigger travel vans cannot get up to the hotel so we had to transfer to a smaller van.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hide Ella Hotel! The view facing Ella Gap is even more stunning than in the photos, peaceful, scenic, and just a short walk to Ella town. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the stay was excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place tucked into the hillside. Great views. Rooms were clean, food was good, hot tub in balcony was a bonus. Pool was ok but too cold. Buffer breakfast was ok, omelette chef was great as well. Easy to get to and from main town area. Or a decent walk up hill.

Best place to stay in Ella; you float amid the clouds, valley and jungle. The views from the rooms and restaurant are spectacular. In the mornings you see the mountain ranges far out in the horizon, while in the afternoons you see the clouds and rain come up the valley enveloping you in magical mist. Btw, Lahiru, the chef at Hide Ella is fabulous, and lunch there is a treat, both the food and the views. (Actually, Hide Ella Hotel was/is the only redeeming feature about the dreary way Ella has developed its tourist scene. I would not recommend stopping over in Ella, unless you treat yourself to this hotel.)

We have just spent three nights in Hide Ella. The views are amazing, the hotel modern and clean. Steam room and sauna an added bonus to the pool. The staff and very friendly and professional. Nothing to much trouble. Breakfasts are amazing thanks to Waruna, Vino and Thimira. Thanks for making a Standout in Sri Lanka.

The high tea was so delicious. Best chocolate cake that did not overpower my mouth. Our server Waruna was really attentive to us. Recommend to come here and have a high tea after a rainy day in Ella.||The view of the valley is a sight to see. Especially enjoy the waterfall in the distance
