Thank you Hide Ella for the hospitality. Really happy with the service and the lovely Naresh was super helpful whenever we needed something. All the staff as well were welcoming.Hide Ella is Beautiful place with great views and surroundings. Our experience at HIDE Ella was superb. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us everything we needed to know about the room and amenities. If you want incredible views from your hotel room, this is where you should stay! Just beautiful! The rooms were clean and presented well too.I just wanted to especially mention the chef and staff at the restaurant- they truly made our stay the most amazing experience. The first night we enjoyed a 4 course dinner meal, dessert was the highlight! The next morning we were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast which was INCREDIBLE. The second night of our stay we asked the chef if he could prepare a Sri Lankan meal as we didn’t want western food (we wanted an authentic experience). All I have to say is WOW, our tummies and hearts were so full. The most delicious food, more than we could have ever asked for or even expected. Thanks Heshan and team- really appreciate your warm hospitality.Thank you so much to the team at HIDE Ella, we will be recommending you to all our friends and family that visit Ella.

This hotel definitely surprised us. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights since there were 4 of us. The images online seem very hard to believe but when we arrived, it was exactly how it was described. The view was amazing not only at the lobby but also from the rooms. Can never get bored of it. The hotel was very well equipped and had facilities such as pool, sauna, steam room, pool table etc. Food choices for breakfast was also great! Location wise, we could walk to Ella where the street of restaurants were conveniently, though the walk requires some stamina since it’s up and down some slopes.
2 minor issues for me. We realized that though we booked the same room type, the toilet configurations for both rooms were slightly different. One came with an enclosed shower versus the other did not, causing the toilet to get very wet easily. There was also an issue with the heater in the bathroom that did not have the enclosed shower. As breakfast was outdoors, there were also flies hovering around the food, so we just needed to be more aware of closing the food lids after taking the food.
Overall experience was great. Would definitely recommend!

It was my first visit to Ella in decades. I wanted to fit it in my trip to Sri Lanka and knew it would be during the rainy season so chose a hotel that had everything I needed in case I needed to stay in. Hide Ella had great reviews and I checked out pictures and could not pass the stellar views right out of my bedroom of Ella rock and the beautiful hill side. Starting from my booking with Akila at the front desk to Heshan the executive chef the service was fabulous. All the staff were helpful, kind, warm and made my 4 day stay so wonderful . The hotel is situated on a hill very close to the city center, Little Adams Peak, walking distance to Ella Rock ( for hikers) and the train station. If not a 5 - 15 minute Tuk to most of the attractions except Ravana Falls. I actually took the local bus to Ravana Falls and loved that experience. Just a 15 minute ride on a scenic road. The hotel also will arrange for a tuk to pick you up from the train station and take you places if you like. If not walking is easy and convenient. The hotel itself is modern , lots of light with glass windows and common areas with lots of seating and openwith unbeatable views. Wifi available throughout so you can use your computer in case you wanted but who would want to with those sweeping views and incredible peaceful atmosphere. I spent a rainy afternoon reading with my coffee as you can order food and beverages from their all day robust menu. I had breakfast every morning which was included in my stay and it was delicious. The chef did a wonderful job including western and local cuisine and surprised me one morning with the most amazing paneer sweet potato cutlet. Lovely addition to breakfast. I did have dinner a few times snd it was good. The rooms are beautiful and designed for a boutique hotel. All toiletries provided and even vanity and sewing kit which is a lovely touch. The hotel has an infinity pool surrounded by jungle and a hot tub both outdoors which was such a lovely add on to an already amazing experience. I will return again on my next visit to SL and highly recommend Hide Ella for anyone looking for a comfortableLavish expense in a boutique type hotel with a reasonable price for all that it offers. Thank you Hide Ella for making my trip all the way awesome!

Hide Ella has a great and friendly staff ready to assist and welcome you at any given time. It is a place of accommodation with a relatively modern infrastructure and is located at the heart to nearby tourist destinations.
With a good 15 min walk you can reach the main gate to Ella train station and descending some 100 stairs you can see the famous 9 Arch Bridge. It is also close by to some amazing cafe places nearby.
However make sure to have your dinner at Hide Ella for 1 night to experience the rich platter of food they serve. Some food recommendations are to ask for coconut chutney for breakfast, chicken soup for dinner, pineapple chicken salad, white wine and appam.
They have plenty many other leisure retreats such as Jacuzzi, Sauna Room, Swimming Pool and Spa services at very reasonably nominal prices.
It is a must visit stay to experience Ella more leisurely. The hotel is dedicated to make your stay in Ella more comfortable and memorable.
